I had the good fortune of having two friends who kept large sail boats in the North West.   In the spring they'd take the boats north through the Inside Passage and end up in Juneau or beyond.  In the fall the boats would travel south.  I served as "crew," not a very demanding job, on more than a dozen trips over the years.  These images were all taken on one of the trips with a medium format film camera.  The light was absolutely amazing.
